I wanted to drop in and let everyone know that I’m going to skip Fri-Sunday of making videos due to traveling to Texas to visit NewTek. I figure this will give everyone time to watch the 5 1/2 hours worth of videos and get caught up :stuck_out_tongue:

I have quite a list planned so stay tuned.

Thanks proton now all we need you to do is develop some kind of podcast.

woohoo! good job, cheers for the plug!

you guys can also use a texture to drive the ripping (http://www.3dink.com/texturerip.mov), and use HardFXLink to attach solid objects to your ripping cloth! (www.3dink.com/chainrip.mov)

Great tutorial, again (!)

Never used this, but might be a plugin of use here, called “autosewer”

Thanks Proton for taking the time to produce these videos and for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

yep, thanks to kevman3d and lightfreeze for writing some sew and unwelding plugins, more here - http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=309656

the advantage though with this StartbyEvent method is that you dont need to sew, so its quick and easy… but again it can present problems when you need smoothed or displaced smoothed objects before tearing…
