Using C to drive something outside the PC

Hi to all of you.

If I want to use C to drive something which is not in the pc, in my case a camera rig, how would I go about doing this?

I was first thinking of using USB and servos, but I got told that it is much easyer to use a normal electric engin.

I know this is a bit thin and looks like a project that is doomed to fail, but I have just started and need opinions from others, so any info would be great.

A camera rig? You want to computer control the movement of a camera?

Find some hardware that will do what you want, and then see what your options are.
