Unwrapping mesh - can't find clean, neat cutting areas?

#1

I have exported my low poly model into Headus UV layout to get my UV co-ordinates, I am just trying to place the cuts and the seams in the mesh but the geometry sort of spirals round itself, I cant place a clean, smooth cut, for example around the top of the leg.
The only way I can get them to join is if I create jagged cuts, like a staircase shape with straight lines. Will this matter when unwrapping? Or do I need to find a way to stop this spiralling topology???

Any help would be much appreciated!

Could you show us your model?

Here is a link to a screen shot in headus uv layout, (hope it works! )

You can see theyre not clean cut rings around the topology, does this matter?
I tried adding guides for loops before using Zremesher in Zbrush, but clearly hasnt worked!
