Unwrap a mesh in a symmetrical way after having collapsed Symmetry modifier


I can’t delete half of the mesh, unwrap it and use symmetry modifier again cause I already used quite a few morph targets with the mesh (using symmetry again causes the vertex ID numbers to change for some reason, and my morph targets would not work properly). I’ve half of the mesh unwrapped, is it possible to symmetry the other half Uvs?

You should be able to use an UVW Xform modifier with face selection if it’s centered and then weld the overlapping vertices if that’s important to you. Mirroring manually and stitching should work as well.
There are also some scripts that can correct the vertex order of morph targets, but you would have to check if that works in your case.
