Need waaay more information than that! For starters, which renderer? Is this the only scene that it happens, has it ever happened before, have you checked your ram? The renderer might be running out of ram and crashing. You usually don’t get an error message when mental ray crashes, iirc
Well, I rendered it with mental ray and yes, this the first time I get this problem. I don’t think my RAM could be the problem. I have 8GB. I tried to render the scene from different angles though and I noticed that the carpet is the only object that is not totally rendered.
Depending on render settings and your assets ( is the carpet using fur/hair? And with GI? ) , 8gb could be overcome. Try watching your performance monitor while it renders.
You could also try rendering the carpet alone, render the room without the carpet, to narrow things down
And it might not be that, it might be a combination of whatever the carpet surface is and the type of GI that you’re using - what are they?
