unremoving polys after saving

hi, i hide some polys to work, the model was sub D 4 times.
and i save the file withthe hiden polys and close the program,
now that i open the program back and open the file,
i only have the part that i was working on it, and i cant unremove all to make apear the rest of the model.
is this normal?

You have to step back the subdiv level at which you removed, and then unremove.

I came across the exact same issue for the first time the other week
