Understanding limitations of AE

#1

Hey peeps.

I work at a creative studio where we sometimes (rarely) do 5 minute long motion graphics videos. My questions is, would this length of a video be considered cumbersome to edit in AE or is this normal? I know there is Premier but you can’t get the flow from one scene to another if your working in Premier. AE offers more control when flowing from scene to scene in regards to animation. Also, if animating to sound, it seems that it’s best to do it in AE as well, because any adjustments in the animation needs to be tightly controlled to the beat. I hope this makes some sense. Any confirmation as to how other motion graphics artists deal with this would be helpful. Best regards.
