well here is my attempt at my first ever forum challenge. any sugestions would be nice before i start the texture process. i cant beilive tank man has not bein thout of before. i think i may have seen mini enemies that might resemble a tank man but i’m not trying to rip off any characters.

Well I really thought that this was a good shot at a villan. I cant believe no one has thought of it before.

the textures seem to busy any chance of toning them down

Its a nice model, but its not really a robot master. He reminds me a lot of Guts Dozer from MM2. This is what you would see more as a Wily Boss.

Texture work could still use some work. I don’t like that texture too much. Tanks now and days don’t have camo on them like that (well that I can remember). Look up some modern tanks and pick a good color scheme based on them.

I did not realize that there was a guy that resembled my guy so much but i’m not going to back down from this cause my guy is still pretty cool. i’m going to work on the textures though I agree that his camo is too busy.

well here is an updated texture i think that its starting to look alot better. to top it off i dropped the texture sizes down to 512.

much better on the color tone it would be could if u added the camaflauge lines , but i think its alil to shiny it looks like a toy being tht shiny :O) keep it up son

well i have bien fighting with colors scince i sarted this guy and i think i’m getting close. pluss i’m messing around with normal maps but i’m getting a bunch of noise around the areas i want to stand out. also i have run out of image space so i cant post anymore pictures of tank man so here is a link to my works in progress page if you want to see the latest texture revamp. mind you i’m also messing around with lights in the scene so some areas of the screen shot at this point are a little dark. http://efenstermaker.com/works_in_progress.html

i’m tryin what i read in the faq about posting a image if it works its the newest tank man image if it dont then i did it wrong and that sucks
