UGAC - Megaman - Smooth_Criminal

Hi ppl, this is going to be my first challenge anywere around, never played megaman too, but want to participate in this challenge,I am gonna make “Psycho Woman” Villain character… (as it is name suggests a lot :scream:)

Wanted to make a Joker man first but maybe lack of female villains in the challenge made me wanted to do a female. Started making sketches for the character, will post them along with draft views ASAP. Best of luck to all. :slight_smile:

Well I guess I am finalizing off my concept, nothing much special abut it, I am jus followed the basic Megaman style to build generic character, and as I was making it it was diverting more towards the lines of a whether rather than psychoisim, So I decided weather Woman would be more appropratite rather than Psycho woman. Here is the concept (U will notice I am not much of a traditional artist :scream:)

The left hand will be the basic megamaish thing, the rite one will be made of crystal (indestructable ones) that is the source of power for Weather Woman.

When she is in battle mode, she is always floating in the air, with her mechanical wings like structure spread out and two exhausts helping in the levitation, the power can be said to be inspiring from “Storm” from X men series, She does throws “lighting balls”, “Slicing Wind blades”, She is fast so can be behind you the very second when ur trying to stand up against the “Fury of wind” she has befalled upon you, Use “Super Blizzard” to freeze of you and ground to make u static…

A special move where she uses Fury of wind to first divert off ur mind, in the madness she comes behind you and uses “Crystal Spikes” to pierce through ur body. A fatal move but can be easy enough to counter.

The final and the ultimate move of Weather woman is a Mix of “Mega Blizzard” and " Lighting Tornado strike" because this move takes some time to pull off, She first freezes you with Mega Blizzard, A daddy version of Super Blizzard, and then charges a ball of lighting in her hand and spins really fast to form a tornado and then hit you with the blast of the lighting ball and force of tornado… Counter this is hard, though the back drop of the move is she can use this against only one opponent and this leaves her exhausted, giving time for the opponents to use their attack against her.

Thats most of it, the concept can hav some changes, but I am gonna start off now modelling the parts… Please give ur suggestions.

Decided to spend some more time in making a proper concept and draft view for the model, Front view is basically done, this is the final concept for the character (I think so :P)

Its the first time I diverted from my tradition Scribbling technique to making Silohouttes in Photoshop and them making out the whole concept in it… also the first time where I really used photoshop and learned photoshop.:scream: Quite satisfied with the result I got. I did got a lot of help from a concept artist friend of mine (Chandan) , who also did the primary high lights for me in the silohouette

Nice concept dude,the photoshop draft is pretty cool too,did u decide on the color scheme too ?
btw,what is she supposed to be now ? Pschyo/Weather Woman ?

‘Psycho’ sounds cooler than ‘Weather’ imo:D

For some reason, this reminds me of Sigma Star Saga. Incidently, nobody should ever play Sigma Star Saga. Decent art style, horrid gameplay.

@ Sri: No man, not decided yet on the color scheme, the grey seems to be going pretty nicely on her, but I will do rethinking as Megaman characters are mostly colorful,. and I really dont hav an idea abut the name for now, I am keeping Weather Woman, as most of her powers relate to it.

@Ruined Messiah: Donno man, never played the game… but now you told… I will definitely not play it :scream:

Finally the draft views are done… started with modelling the character in Max. Building the High poly version first to generate normal maps… hope I get the normal maps thing rite… never got a hang on normal maps… guess its abut time too…

hey,this one look too goood…keepit uppp dude wating for final render…but if you can work on little propotion it’ll look more good…she looks very short from the real propotion…any way great design n model…

Hey naresh thanks for the comments man. Guess the model was looking short dude to lack of shoes… chk on the latest update… if it still looks short tell me…

ok I wont lie

the design looks AMAZINGLY cool.

But , its to X series/ command mission to be a megaman original series villian. 0_o;;

I mean dude you got more stuff on that character than most the main character have or even a last master of the original series.

I dont wanna sound rude , but for the sake it dosent follow the original art style I dont think its going to work 0_o;;

But I wont lie the model and the concept is amazingly cool.

You just ahead 1XX year period is all.

you gotta model 20XX not 21XX =p
