great start! though i’m not sure if this is a real serious issue, but that greedy vertex on his butt… i’m thinking that that might pose a little bit of a problem when it comes time to rig for deformations… you could route the edge from the top edges that go through it right across instead of having them dive into the vert there, i’m thinking that that might help.

yea its just a start, Im most likely just going to get rid of that TRI and then im going to work it to have some topology there or something.

I need to look at some ass topology to get it right (Ugh I feel dirty saying that now haha)

Since you were ahving some problems with your head, heres an idea I had for Scratch Man:

Basically its your old one, with the speaker on his head as well, just modified a bit. The Helmet from the side is a bit different, also since he is kinda based on Scratch Beat I gave him some headphones. The darker green parts on the helmet you had don’t really go with it cause you don’t see it anywhere else so I gave it the baby blue instead. Anyway hope this helps with your final idea for Scratch Man :smiley:

ok decided to show a bit of a update, been busy relaxing on my few days off before my new quater, trying to get over the over all horrid quater I had…

Just messing around a bit today, still alot of work to do, but got hands and a bit of the arm pieces revised and added in, gonna tweak them more up As I go. I forgot im not using unreal tournament (old version) so I can use more than 2 freakin smoothing groups :smiley:

So more to follow in the next few days

sorry for the lack of updates everyone, been rather busy helping someone get situated moving down here, but now that shes all good and dandy I can get back to my model yet again.

heres a quick update I did today, at about 98 % done phaze now.

Just need to work on lower part of the face and the sunglasses area and I think I’ll be good to go.

The ribits on the shoes are going to be normal mapped onto the character, and im thinkin of taking this characters face into z-brush just to add a bit more detail. But im still skeptical by this point to do that. just dosent feel megamanish to me if I do z-brush to it…

but heres the updates, as always crits and critisim are welcomed

well had a bit of freetime today and finally decided to crank out the last pieces to this guy. This is the final rendition with a surprising tri count that even im kinda shocked about 0_o;

anyway , take a look let me know if you suggest any clean ups on certain pieces because if not im gonna take this and do some brush to the face and the metal helmet and the boots if all is good to go.

well been working on the texturing a bit, I think im going off from the style of megaman with this texturing job, but as long as it somewhat fits I think itll be fine. I hope I’ll make the deadline in time 0_o

well a bit mad at myself, I caught a bit of a fever the other day so ive become rather ill, and I had to do all my texturing for the upper half of my character today,

heres the final layout, I just couldnt get the spec and emissive maps to work qite how I wanted them to.

im not sure if I was doing the emissive maps correctly or not, but in either case heres teh final product

well despite being sick and everything else, I want to thank mr.Boo for helping me out with this project so much, mr.winn , and a special thanks to fusion-zero for helping out and answering some of my noobish questions.
