Still Unwrapping

I have a question regarding the texture allocation. Currently we have 2 1024x1024, are we allowed to divide those 2 into smaller increments ie: (4) 512x512 image difuse maps or (2) 512x512 and (1) 1024x1024 image difuse map. please let me know ASAP so i can further iron out my models unwraps. thanks :O)

mashinboo: yep your able to break it up into smaller increments as long as the end size is at or below the given amount.

Looking cool so far just needs a good skin and it wil lbe set.

Awesome Thanks for the reply really appreciate it this should help me better with the setup

lil update still unwrapping bout 90 % done. gonna be breakin it down to (2) 512x512 difuse for the body and (1) 1024x1024 for the head theres alot more chunks than i thought and it would be better to split it like this so tht atleast i can give the body parts for texture more real estate instead of havin to shrink every thing down really small to fit it all in 1 texture spce

Well finished the unwrapped here it is

The RED area is a 1024 size texture
The BLUE and GREEN are 512 size textures resprectively
Im using 3 diffuse maps that equal to (2) 1024x1024 size textures.

Onward to TEXTURING !!! woooo

Heres the Chest Area Pretty much in a complete state right now. Time to go work on the next section please let me know what you folks out there think thnx :O)

Looks good’n dirty! Though, there’s some weird stretching going on around the chest/back (I’m looking at the shiny bumps on the green part) I don’t know if it’s too late to fix that, or just hope it’ll be less noticeable when there’s more textured stuff to see.
