UGAC – Colossus Level – Swizzle

Ah, what the hey. I have no idea if I’ll be able to finish this one–probably won’t–but I haven’t even touched any 3D models in a month and this just seems like a weird enough challenge to keep me interested for a while.

I’m thinking something spider- or centipede-like. We’ll see.

well, you got 2 months to do this, plenty of time.

Agreed. Hell, I’m thinking of dusting off a very old (and fairly terrible) Knight model just so I can do an animation on how to kill my monster. I just need to begin concept (because modeling won’t be hard at all… sarcasm) for my entry.

Indeed. I also have a good amount of free time, so things might turn out better than the last challenge.

Now, I’m off to start some concept drawings.

All right, I do believe I’ve settled on a concept for this thingamajig:

[i][b]

You are a ninja, and you will murder the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

:scream:
Priceless!!

In case anybody doesn’t actually know what the Flying Spaghetti Monster is, you should probably go to the official website of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster for all the info. The FSM actually came from a letter by a guy who got peeved that there were some people trying to teach creationism alongside scientific theories here in the 'States, so he sent a letter to the Kansas School Board telling them that, if creationism is going to be taught along with science, then so should the teachings of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Anyways. I don’t actually want to argue anything, I just want to explore the possibility that the ninjas, mortal enemies of the pirates, would want to kill the pirates’ supreme deity. Plus, think how much fun you could have swinging and climbing on giant noodles!

As for concepts, this is one of the pictures I’m going to be using for reference. I may draw some up, but I think it’d probably be more fun to just do the model without much by way of hard concepts or ortho drawings.
