Alrighty, finally getting around to posting a sketch. This here’s my initial scorpion concept:
My plan for scaling/stabbing so far is to lure him into attacking with his tail. When he does (provided you dodged--if you didn't...well, let's just say "massive damage" and be done with it) it will get stuck in the ground, allowing you to jump onto it, much like the sword-weilding colossus from the game, but the scorpion will try to shake you off violently. Once you get him stabbed, he'll try to crush you by slamming his tail into the ground behind him, much like a giant flyswatter, but while he's "winding up," his tail will be close to his body, so you can hop down onto his back safely. Then scurry on up his tail again and repeat until you've...er, killed his magical weak spot.
(Just thought of this) Another spot will be on his hairy underbelly, but as you may or may not know, you can't stab the underside of something (at least, I think so--correct me if I'm wrong) until you flip him over. How? Well, either the scorpion will attack with his tail (close range), pincers (medium range), or he'll rear up onto his tail and lunge forward for a long-reaching pincer swipe, or hammer-smash or something. Suffice to say, when he rears up, his underbelly will be exposed, and so will a shiny weak spot at the base of his tail--like the hooves of the quadroped colossus (the second one in the game). Shoot it, his tail will give, and he'll fall over onto his back, allowing you to climb onto his hairy underside and stabby, stabby, stabby.
Gosh that's a lot of text. Here's the picture you're here to see (Disregard the weak spot on his back. That's goin' bye-bye):
