Here is everything I’ve put together on ā€˜stitch-free’ stitching of panoramic photos in 3D space. I used Maya, but you could probably even use After Effects…

a basic article about set extension http://www.tiberius-viris.com/tut1.html

I did a small tutorial explaining how depth, contrast and value work in ā€˜real world’, and how you can mimic them (what are the rules). Quite basic stuff, but might be useful for beginners

#29

Wow, Suirebit. great job. I know it will help me as I struggle in that area. Now all I need to do is get it from my head to the screen. thanks again. I

Thanks guys  When I get more time I’ll do other topics aswell, feel free to suggest!

#31

Excellent tutorial Suirebit. Thanks!

#32

Thanks for this basics. I suggest the the Matte Painting with realistic integrated VUE Elements like this:

Original Plate

Final shot
http://www.fxguide.com/modules/NewsUpload/files/09Nov/proposal/vfx_056_05_comp.jpg

My problem is realistic…

#33

Eagle, I doubt there’s any Vue in the example you shown, but it’s a good idea for a tutorial.

#34
It is Mattepainting with VUE and its not a still Photo it is a movie

But there is no realistic Mattepainting with VUE tutorial on the web....

#35

In the specific example you shown, there is no Vue involved. Trust my eye

Take a look at the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus if you want to see some good examples of how Vue can be used; That movie is heavy with Vue scenes

#36

Are there more tutorials? Especially for beginners?

Cause alot of the links provided here are dead… Or are boanded to a specific
topic.

Thx in advance guys!

#37

Yes, and dont forget to tell them that vue only takes you 60% of the way at best, then it comes down to classic photoshopping. Vue still has a Loooooonnggg way to go! …

#38

I also seraching a long time for VUE use in VFX Tutorials for realistic Terrains, Plants to use in Mattepainting with realistic movie footage!
All you found are Fantasystyle or cheating colors in still images but nothing for movies like i posted above…

There is a lot of Post, but the VUE Results must able to use in Post.
