Turning 20th Century Painting into 3D

#1

Im currently attending a short film class at my Junior college. The Short is going to be done purley in 3d using LightWave software. We are broken into groups of about 6 or 7. The assingment is to chose a painting from the 20th century (1900’s) and with your groups combined creativity make a 30 second animation. This project is ongoing for the next 9 weeks, then we get turned loose to create what we want, (another 30 seconds) on any topic.

The Reason im Posting- We are supposed to soon be in partnership with CGfocus.com and displaying our project from story board all the way up too the final 30 seconds which will be placed on DVD. I would like to keep this forum updated with our project as it comes along in order to recieve feedback from this community of animators. I really like some of the members work here and I feel that the 3d artists of 3DFC can give some good advice. Please, everyone feel free to post with any comments critiques or questions, it will be much appreciated to have anyone show interest in what is about to consume many hours of my life.
Thank you.

Sounds interesting. I’ll be watching you.

Do you have a storyline yet?

Yes, the rough story line has been created but the story board is being created as we speak. I will definately have that up by Wensday, along with a preview of the models to maybe get some crits on.
