Turbulence in TP

So… When I use turbulence in Box3, the more I multiply the vector, the faster the particle conforms to the turbulence field. However, in TP, if i were to use wind turbulence, for example, the particles will move toward the turbulence field, but then continue to shoot off into oblivion. Does anyone know of a technique to treat turbulence in TP the way box3, softimage xsi, houdini etc. does?
