Trip from Luxor, Egypt- Matte Painting Practice (WIP)

#1

Hi Guys

This is a practice matte painting, I have done after a trip from Egypt.
a sandy rocky desert near the Valley of the King. I took more than 1000 pictures during the trip. will definitly do more after this one.

again looking for some final advice before post in to showcase gallery. this one I try to make a bit more nature lighting without too much color grading.

just logged in dude, love your matte painting reminds me of the Exorcist Prequel.

Nice job, this forum is usually quiet, mainly because the CGI geeks on the other forums have nothing to do whilst waiting for renders so are a bit more vocal. On here everyones painting and are too busy to answer, me I am poor at time management.

Love your stuff.

Thanks, Mate.

I am just hoping to exchange some ideas with more professionals in this forum.

Good start man:-) I think if you add more houses/some structures it might help you to improve the focal point. And definitely your far left hills are not going with the comp may be because of your right side mountains are tinny and detailed.

Hope this helps

Thanks Guys,

I have marked this one as complete, and move on to next one. thanks for the feedback guys.

I did a bit of tweaking on shadow and aslo pushed back the background mountain into further distance.
