trigons to quads?

Can you convert trigons to quads in Modo other than selecting them individually?

As far as I know, it works the same as in Lightwave, i.e. selecting the two tris and merge. I’m sure a perl script could be made to do it though, but I dont have any perl background.

yeah, I think that is what I’m looking for. Merge_TrigonsX is horribly slow. I am hoping to see that change in Modo.

hm strenage that you think merge trigons is slow - how many polys are you throwing at it it certainly can deal with many thousands quickly enough though dont think i’ve ever used it on much over about 20,000 - 50,000 polys dont know exactly to be honest and got 2 renders running simultaeously so not really wanting to give it a tri and besdies it wouldn’t be a fiar test under these circumstances =)
