I retopologized my character mesh, after retopologizing, it created holes on the character. I tried to use Patch but I get the message “path command only work with triangle meshes”. Does anyone here know how to turn a quad in Mudbox into triangles?

if you get holes something isnt right with your mesh…
or at least mudbox isnt able to capture the volume in this area…
are you using the latest version…? SP1…?
try to smooth that area before the auto retopo… sometimes it helps…
you could also use a layer to flatten those area and turn the layer off after the retopo…

I’m using Mudbox 2014. When I smoothed it out or even flattened, the details that I want went away though

thats why you should use a layer…
autoretopo is transfering also the layers…
and install SP1…
