Base sculpt of the Candles. But later i would add more work on texture and shader because these Candles would be Lit which comes left side of the screen. I have made 3 different versions. Thanks

I was looking through your scene. I’m not experienced enough to give you and useful criticism, but I was curious what program you used to model the snake. Amazing scene!

Hi DurkkCagle, thanks for liking the scene. I have used basic polygonal modeling in Maya for the Snake model and then i did simple rig to pose the Snake on the window structure , after that i bought the base model in Zbrush and sculpted accordingly. This is the base sculpt work in progress of the Snake, next i would add Scales and more high frequency details in Zbrush and Mari. Thanks again and i appreciate !

I appreciate your response. I haven’t had the chance to work with Maya or Zbrush yet. I will get to do that next semester, so it is good to see the program’s potential.

You are welcome mate. Yes once you learn Zbrush you can play with sculpting and make your model look more realistic. Honestly, for me software doesn’t matter much when it comes to pure polygonal modeling, most of the 3D packages provides similar tool sets, it all depends on the Artist how much he/she puts time and effort to better skills and become a better Artist. Tools would always change and get advanced.

So i would recommend you to learn and practice as much as you can polygonal modeling and get better on topology, form and shapes. You can then move to Zbrush and add the more realistic details and so on. Always refer to real world reference while modeling/ designing. Hope that helps.
