Transform letter into another

#1

Hello, just a quick question:

How could I transform a letter into another in AE? Like when you are in Flash, you use the “Motion Shape” to do that.

I wanted to do something like this:

Does anyone know how to do something similar?

Thanks!

Effect - Distort - Reshape

Preferably you don’t at all. It’s a sign of a bad typography. If you must:

Layer --> Convert Text to Outlines

Then simply copy the different shapes at different times into the mask path of an animated mask, creating keyframes. The same would work with shape layer paths.

AE doesn’t have this option Layer --> Convert Text to Outlines .

So I went to Layer --> Convert to Editable Text.

I didnt understand what to do next.

francoandrade: i tryed doing what mylenium said and it worked here. I created two text objects (one for one letter and the other for another letter). Then layer->Create Mask From Text. You have to do this on both text layers. Then just create a keyframe on both layers that AE created, copy then and paste then solid (put each keyframe on a diferent frame for the morph to occur), or whatever layer you want.
