Transfer hotkeys from to Maya 2016 to Maya 2017. How?

How do I transfer the hotkeys from Maya 2016 to Maya 2017?

Probably a basic question, but I’m hoping for some help from the community.

Have a look in your Documents >Maya>2016>Prefs folder, you should have a folder in there called Hotkeys which will have a ‘userHotKeys_User.mel’ in there. Copy it to the equivalent folder for Maya 2017. You might also need to do the same with ‘UserRunTimeCommands.mel’ which is usually in Prefs too. Restart Maya 2017 and those should show up. You might need to go to settings and enable ‘user hotkeys’ though as that changed a little in Maya 2017 IIRC.
