Training DVDs?

#1

Hey everyone! I was checking out modo’s site and I was amazed by some of the tools modo offers. It makes me wonder why maya doesnt have great modeling tools like these (I’m a maya user btw). Now I would like to learn how to use this program. Are there any training dvds out for this program or is this program easy to learn?

I dont know about others, but I JUST started using Modo as well, and what got me to learn more and more of Modo is the Video Tuts that U can download along with the Demo Try of Modo. Its quite big at 1.8 GB in size, but its really really worth the wait and download time. Took me over 4 hours to download, and really amazing videos.

It shows almost everything that Modo can do. One of the tutorials that really I was amazed and I watched 4 times so far its the Tank Hard Edges Video thats part of the download when U try out Modo (part of the 2 GB Tut Video Download).
That tank tutorial showed me a lot modo can do, and everytime I get a chance I watch it again and again to get it to stick to me lazy brain, lol.

Other areas I found is http://www.vertexmonkey.com/ which is loaded with tutorials.

But trust me, the best (to my opinion) is the free Video Tuts that U can download along with the Demo of Modo. Its like the master tut for the application itself…

Go here: http://www.luxology.com/trymodo/ and enter your info, and then U get a chance to download the demo, content and video tuts. Download the Video Tuts, its worth the wait and space too.

Hope this helps you, as it helped me to start with modo. Everyday I use it I love it more and more…

I got started with Modo a few months back & used the training DVD by Dan Ablan @ www.3dgarage.com

It’s very good & well worth the money, got me started & confident with Modo in a few days…

There are also a couple of freebies on the site too…

I own Dan Ablan’s training DVD as well. It is very good. But I’ve watched it enough times now that I’m looking to sell it. I asked Dan via email if this would be ok, and he said yes.

It sells for $179. I will sell for $100 + shipping. Will only ship within the USA. If you are interested PM me. First come, first serve.

Thanks.
