Tracking Arcs in maya 2011

Hey does anyone know of a good tool to track arcs in maya 2011. I used to use perfect arc but that seems to not work so well in 2011.

I like cMotionTrail, and if/when it comes out, Koshigaya’s Ghostline (though the latter won’t be free, I believe).

I take it that using ‘Animate > Create Motion Trail’ isn’t a good choice? I’m just getting back to animating (working through Jason Ryan’s tutorials) and if I can find a way to hide the trail after using it seems like it’ll be a good tool.

 Is there a way to hide; I'm not seeing anything in the Maya 2011 help docs, though I can select and delete motionTrailHandle(s) in the Outliner.
