They are all made of cheese?

Maybe a couple of Abstract sketches could be fun:

Abstract: Vortex
Abstract: River of dreams (poker or not - you choose  )

Another idea - less freehands, but very opens to interpretation:

  • Post a photo in the topic announcement and ask people to depict the scene in the photo in any way they want, be it naturalistic, impressionistic, monotone, or whatever ppl prefer. Only rule is that some part of the scenery must be regonsiable.

I’ve got a few, how about:
Zombies anonymous
The power of the mind
A Prawn on a bike (this is based on a mad conversation/sketchathon that took place at a comics convention)
Medieval monkey

How about a sci-fi/fantasy/whatever landscape that takes inspiration from the location/geography/local architecture of each artist? I mean come ON I doubt all those fog shrouded mountainscapes loaded with god-rays and multi-level blade runner cityscapes are drawn at all from life. I doubt many of us live in the Yellow Mountains in China, New Zealand at sunrise, or Tokyo at night in the rain. This could give everyone a chance to show aspects of where they live! Come on Iowa!

I kinda had a fun idea last night. Rework an older piece.

What this is is we take an older work of ours, it can be a sketch, and finished picture, whatever, and we repaint it as a sketch. We are always constantly improving, and I think it would be really fun to see how what we have learned could improve our previous pictures.

I suppose we should have a somewhat long time limit for this one, like 45 minutes or something.

Just a fun idea I thought we could do.

Hey guys,

I’ve found a cool little stopwatch app. Excellent for timing the timed sketches.
Download here

I’ve set different timelimits (15/20/25 etc minutes). So all I have to do is press start and start sketching.
And you can press the stop button to pause if you have to go to the toilet or something. Very convenient

Feel free to relocate this post to where it’s more suitable, ROR… sorry I didn’t know where to post
