I think the best topics leave a lot of room for interpretation and imagination. Old cliches and sayings seem to create some cool ideas, especially when they’re ambiguous. The best ones are starting gates for stories that can go anywhere.

And will people stop posting ideas like Life, War, Alien, Swordsman, etc?!? I stopped reading them after page 3 or so… Topics have to inspire the artists! Some of the good ideas done so far really create stories, or make the artist think of something, and possibly ironic topics create really funny and imaginative results!

Here’s some of my ideas, and I apologize if I’m repeating any topics. :

Just a remark: I must say that I like very literal themes such as ‘my other car is a…’ or ‘when hamsters attack’ much less than more abstract themes such as ‘smashed, broken and forgotten’ or ‘not that again’ because more literal themes already decide what needs to be in your drawing.
