TLHPro - WIP Thread

#81

… and on we go…

A very simple pattern giving a rather cool look:

I don’t have much tileable textures, so I was very happy to find this package:
http://www.planetquake.com/berneyboy/textures.htm
The following renderings are made with stuff from this collection:

Ornamental woodwork-like structure:

Warning - this thing is dangerous… :

And a leathery plate look:

And finally an interesting wood look:

OK, now I have to go back to my compiler and shuffle some code…

Happy drooling…

Cheers!

:drool::wip::love::applause:
Sweeeeeeet.

#83

Whoa…now you’re just showing off!

hehe…great work

#84

heheheh - yes

Thank you!

#85

somehow i thought you’d have my suggestions covered…but always useful to know or contribute if possible whilst developing the thing…you’ve got some cool ideas coming along in these and in your last shader set good to see…its been awhile since i’ve seen something new really that was inspiring or exciting when it comes to shader dev…so keep up the good work…even if i’m not a messiah user its just mouth watering stuff…

#86

 Great Thomas!

#87

hey the first one is what I was talking about. Soft lines. I gotta find some cash.

#88

Julian: And here comes your second request: “Tarons Butch in wires”:

And animated as XviD encoded AVI:
“Tarons Butch in wires”

Cheers!

#89

Cooool ! :bounce:

Poor Butch almost looks like Spider-Man now …

#90

Yes, he’s into knitting lately, since he joined a “Männergruppe” - how’s that called? Men-group? The things where men try to learn how to behave like humans and have “feelings” (whatever that may be…) and reveal their female self  LOL

Cheers!

#91

Hey Thomas,

I see you got the “make better” and “more mysterious” features in.

Cheers,

#92

<heavy breathing> Most impressive - I see your training is complete, young Skywalker …

I’m running out of explicatives and superlatives … Thomas!

#93

Thank you all so much. It means a lot to me to see you getting excited as much as I am.
Your feedback and reactions really drive this development forward, so don’t hesitate to add comments and features you would like to see. I don’t intend to put everything in, but stuff that fits will make it.

Cheers! :bounce:

P.S. I now have a screen capture tool installed so maybe I will finally do some videos. I just have to get comfortable with this way of acting weird in front of my monitor

#94

Super nice Thomas
Thanks for responding to my request. Now turntables and wire checks can look delicious.
Your animation looked almost like cough celshading from Mark’s plugincough, cough
Man, gotta drink more OJ!

#95

Cool that you like it

If nobody else is faster, I have line rendering on my todo list also as part of the image filters I have in mind.
But first I have to finish the TLHPro Tools.

Cheers!

#96

Hey, then a tomcat like shader set would be cool - duuuuuude, you’re da man!

Btw, I rarely give comments about your stuff, sorry, but I’m in silent admiration - you’re a magician!

#97

Yeah! A tomcat shader! (Without the Tomcat interface please
Or better yet - integrated JOT!

edit: I’m also an admirer. Ya bastard!

#98

hahahahah - yes, tomcat would be cool. And copying Maya Paint Effects shouldn’t take me longer than 10 minutes…

No, seriously: Tomcat itself doesn’t do the main work. As far as I understand it, it “only” creates paintstrokes automatically and disturbs them in a painterly fashion. So talking about Tomcat means doing Paint Effects first and that is completely out of reach for me. My magic isn’t that advanced

But the good news is, that we are talking about a node based image filter system. So you’re not stuck with whatever lines you are given by a linerenderer like in Lightwave f.i., but you can apply other nodes to that - think of it like a better Digital Fusion

Cheers!

#99

Yeah, it applies the paintFX to countour and surface with input from depth, incidence, energy field and other neat-sounding factors.

#100

But you can still learn kleiner Zauberlehrling :stuck_out_tongue:
