Title Animation wip - seeking criticism / suggestions

#1

Hi everyone,
Here’s the first draft of a title animation that I’m making for my YouTube channel:

I did made one revision and posted that as well:

I’d like to bring this composition up to a really high level of quality in terms of timing, feel, effects, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sam

Cant really say anything because maya is not really desinged for this. Cinema4D is thought. Also, if I were to use maya for this kind of stuff I would probably use glossy/metallic materials and shaders.

The effects are fairly simple, and it shouldn’t be an issue by itself.

To sell an effect like this, you should try playing around with more lighting setups and better materials. It’s hard to visualize the animation with the current render settings. Feels like early 90s CGI for games/television.

Expecting a 3d app to render out a prefect video is a very tall order. Have you tried working with some video editing software like AfterEffects? It would really improve the way the video would look.
