Tips/Techniques on bridge sculpt

#1

Hey guys. I am getting ready to start sculpting a stone bridge and I was just wondering if anyone had some useful techniques/tutorials on this subject. I dont have issues sculpting the stone bricks manualy however I was wondering if the was a way to effectively sculpt the stones using spotlight or a custom tiled alpha pattern that would wrap around edges and be seamless.

Here is a pic of the highpoly “section” and reference picture of what I am going to base the sculpt from:

Thanks in advance,

As always Informerman, thanks. The links you provided were much appreciated. I dont know if its just me but using UV setting in noiseplug produces wierd uv island seams when I use an tiling alpha with it.

Cheers mate,
Wilson

did you use the UV master?

Well since the model was for a low poly RTS game/time constraints I just ended up doing normal map/texture the old fashioned way using Photoshop. Thankyou however for your continued efforts and helpful tips Informerman.
