I finally convinced myself to try create some mattepainting (if it can be called so) and found a good original plate to work with and started to messing around.
the basic idea is to add some kind of temple on the top of the coast and add a feeling of sunset…
Im still a newbie in this, so its not extra 
But take a look and tell me your opinion, any critics is welcome, I ll improve it 
Are the buildings photos from other references? They have a different lighting direction that don’t match the background. Your entire scene should be back-lit with a very strong rim-light, and in fact, the entire foreground would be more like a dark silhouette, unless you light the dark side artificially with additional light sources, such as torches or bonfire or something else.
