Barry is a ten-year-old who is new in town. If you’re the only black kid in class, your dad lives far away and your only friend is a plastic toy giraffe - life could be pretty hard. What if with just one word you can become the most popular kid in school?

“The power of persuasion” is an animated short based on real events from Barack Obama’s childhood. This story isn’t about politics. Rather, it’s a heartfelt self-discovering journey of a young man looking for his identity while learning the power of the spoken word.
