The next Challenge...Lets talk

#121

Absolutely no Wyatt Earp! I’d rather not go into it.

#122

@WyattHarris: do i sense some repressed childhood memories there?..lol

Rageofages idea does sound quite cool in doing your own classical statue of an important figure…could have some real fun with that…

i also like the idea of 15 expressions 1 face

just a few other ideas:

  • model your room down to the smallest detail
  • self portrait (no shortage of refs there)
  • Create a superhero or alternatively reimagine a current superhero
  • or combining the above 2…create yourself as a superhero…and alter ego…

#123

What about - fables - quite a wide subject of childhood stories… could be everybody’s own version.
Could be Fables of Lafontaine or any other popular child story / teller, modified to please the contestants.

(Could be the wolf kicking the hunters’ *** and keep eating people… the bunny winnign on the turtle, some altered classic stories)

Dang my room is messing, that’l be hell for me lol

oohh love theblanchh idea too :applause:

#125

Personal the sculpturing of historical figures didn’t sound that appealing to me , but “thablanchh” idea i really like especially if you do your own :twisted:/sick/funny twist to the child story.
Picture this: the bigg bada** wolf who got seduce/misled by the granny of the little girl in red dress in not eating her

The Louvre gets tons of press, I’ve never really looked into the collection at the met. Most impressive.

I’ve never really done sculpting before, and it would be nice to explore what tools Silo has to offer, so the Metropolitan museum is good with me.

Also, I think we’ve been kicking the ass out of “cool sci-fi” for quite a while now…which is grand as it was me who suggested the current challenge!

Fairytales. Like proper old ones, none of your disney interp. Brothers grim Hans C A.
A pivitol moment in said tale.

15 expressions one face

Really sounds great!!

It will be a pretty new and interesting thing to do and also a great learning experience for modelers.

#130

awww if itl be 15 expressions one face i wont be able to model haha buh itl be great watching n learning from you peeps :applause:

#131

I think DC/Marvel or facial expressions would be fun. If we do comics, can we throw in characters from Image like spawn, maybe we can do an indie comic contest, tons of great charactesr there too, wouldn’t mind trying my hand at a few.

#132

-Agreed. And creating them as blendshapes will be an awesome piece for an animation in our portfolios and reels.
