General Vestikov
Ofcourse he still needs to be dressed up and all.

 Wow, you give good head! :surprised :argh: Oops, I mean make good heads
You should make a library of model heads for sale on CD make some extra cash.
What app are you using.
Looks good

Maybe you can put some lose strands of thinning hair at the sides of his head.
If my main character had a dad thats how he would look too LOL !
See ya around CGTALK.
Well if my main character had a brother, he
wouldnt look like that.:hmm:
But very good none the less. My only crit is that maybe you should airbrush
the hair map at the sides to a softer fade, or use a gradient to fade it out.
It looks a bit too sharp of a fall off to the thinner hair .
I like the stubble you got on his face , oh maybe they all need eye lashes .
Later .
True… i ehhh didn’t render eyelashes on them yet
I haven’t gotten the settings quite down yet.
And spotted quite correct the hair isnt finished yet.
Looks somebody finally decieded to show some true “big dog skills” and model that Wantanabe head that seemed to be so elusive
Nice job.
HEHEHE
A japanese guy, yes
Watanabe … not realy
Its loosely based on Ichiro Suzuki who playes for the seatle mariners.
Did i already mention … loosely based on.
But yeah… i should model him aswell … loosely
I like to add that we are franticly looking for :
An achitectural designer
A costume designer
And people in general who ROCK at what they do and think we need them more then anything in the world.
Now that you mention it the head does resemble Ichiro “loosely”
but nonetheless excellent job. I already know that your other modeling skills are top notch so when these guy’s & girl finally get a body It’s going to be insane.
Keep rocking :wip:
this looks awesome, so you guys are really putting this together, looks sweet, i wanna join as a modeler, just give me somnething to model, and also who is apart of the team, modelers concept artists, and so on, and after you guys get everything done, i think u guys should break it down into storyboards, and model scane by scane, instend of modeling everything, a good idea would be if we get a final script, to be handed out to the team, and after everyone reads it break it down into scanes, and storyboards, so everyone gets a concept of the camera angal, lighting, and whats going to be needed in the scane. so everyone can get organized, cuz i’ve seen so many projects like this fall apart cuz people try to attack it as a whole, and people just got borded and left, i really want this to be a success, i’m not trying to tell you guys what to do, just my opinions, i mean no offense if i offeneded someone i’m sorry, i just think this can be done, and if completed, so SWWEEEETTT, everyone can add to their portfiolios, this would turn out soooooo SWEEEET if everyone pulled together and got their parts done. THX GUYS LATER
Dear Yasko,
Thank you for those tips and your enthusiasm.
We are very much intrested in a new modeler on the team and we would love to see some examples of your work.
What you read in the thread and what goes on in the team are seperate things.
We are in fact modeling per scene even if it might not appear that way.
Excuse my ignorance , why are you looking for a costume designer?
Dont you just whip up the costumes as you make the character concepts ?
What are the skills , and requirements for that position ?
Hey, can I join?
3ds max 4 - 7.1 - Professional Level
photoshop 5-CS2 - Good
Lightwave - new
Maya - new - particles - good
If you want some stuff, PM me and I’ll show ya.
Hehehehe
Hey admiraligor,
Cool to see you took me up on my offer.
Nope i dont need to see your stuff.
I wouldn’t have invited you if i didnt think you would fit right in.
BOY1DA
I would like a “specialist” on the subject since i dont concider my self
as someone who designs intresting clothes.
I saw the concept for the recon/scout ship, and decided to take a crack at it, only 1 1/2 hrs work, nothing really just the simmple outline, which was extreamly hard, due to the missing front view, tell me what u guys think, i’m planning on modeling the cockpit and make it lower down for the character to climb in, still alot of work needed, but for now before i go any further with it tell me what ya think

SORRY FOR THE IMAGE SIZE
Later Y.C.
Yasko looks good so far.
I hope you add a bunch of extra detail aswell.
Poly-count should be reasonable but you can for sure go way overboard from
what you did here.
great, just tell me what to do and I’ll get right to work - here’s a list on my specialties:
Enviornments: Space, atmospheric (over planet… IE: Episode III intro), High orbit, some interiors.
Craft: Any and all kinds of spacecraft
pretty much anything hard surface.
Primary applications:
3DS MAX R7.1:…:Brazil R/S:…:Afterburn 3.2:…:Mental Ray
welcome onboard
glad u jumped in :applause:
also im happy that this thread moves a lil… cant wait to make some sfx for the trailer… and maybe other things…
Yasko, thx for ur kind words … this up there goes for u as well ^^ nice start on the ship, lookin forward to the next update ![]()
well that was just the test attemp, i didn’t know how far i could go on the poly count, but for now i’ll juice up the model, and get to some real work, ie detailed cockpit, hydralics, machanics, and so forth, i’ll post up an image now and then, one ?, does anyone have a script, or an general aspect of the opening scane, cuz right now i’m just blank, i’m really excited to know the story, thx
