Hey guys!
I’m trying to get into maya and wanted to know what are the best rigging tutorials out there for maya?? The Fahrenheit ones look very good but I’m worried that they might be out-dated.
I tried the digital tutors ones as well, but they are soooooo bad. Every friend of mine that is a maya user says they dont work like that.
So… what are in your opinion the best rigging tutorials out there?

the schliefers are by far the best…fahrenheit next…some of the newer digital tutors are ok but they are a shameless copy of the fahrenheit videos at times…imo

i have one problem with popular rigging tutorials that they all have there mel script to follow and in field (just for me) i don’t want to carry my script if i had a job for rigging.
i am new in rigging right now.
unless you are dealing with some of the new things in the latest versions of 2012 or 2013, etc. The basic concepts behind rigging in maya haven’t changed. There are a couple core books I would recommend, Advanced Rigging and Deformations (this has a great lead in on Node Usage), Stop Staring. Some of the older books like Maya Character Animation (by Jae-Jin Choi) has some really useful information even though its dated the concepts presented are still useable. The Art of Rigging series (through this very web site) also has some good information.
