It looks cool, but is there meant to be some kind of lighting coming from behind and left of the barbarian?

Heyo!
I think lighting consistency and the black levels in this piece is holding it back the most. As David Spittle pointed out, there’s lots of mysterious lighting going on, like on the FG rocks, left and right, both opposite light directions, and the sky is more a sun that has already set below the horizon, so this would mostly be environment lighting with no light ray. The black values are really too dark too on the left hand side. Try to change those and see how it looks after.
