The 1.1 THz RANCH is now online!

Nothing but good news at RANCH!

  • the total processing power guaranteed per project is now 1.1 THz (1100 GHz)!
  • the base price per GHz-Hour is 34% lower! ($0.19 / 0.13 €)… and this is without the discount for pre-paid subscriptions (up to 30%)
  • it is now possible to render 16000 x 12000 still images on the RANCH
  • the RANCH web site and the Renderfarm User Guide have been updated, and all the benchmarks redone.

Thanks for your attention and… see you on the RANCH!

Hey I’m not being funny or anything, although I might be being pedantic - oh yes actually I am  ! But when render farmers advertise their combined processor speeds, it’s a bit misleading in a way. Take your 1100Ghz for example. I don’t know how many CPUs you have, but when they are all combined, they aren’t running at 1100Ghz - they are still running at their individual core speeds. It’s like saying you have 10 cars each travelling at 100MPH, so that means your cars are travelling at 1000MPH. No, they are all still travelling at 100MPH, and won’t get to Paris any faster!

I mean, I think I would find it more accurate, and be more impressed if you said you had 366 x 3Ghz CPU cores. Or to make it sound even better, 1098000000000000000000000000 calculations per second combined.

Well, we are the only renderfarm in the world to publish precise benchmarks on our sites (we have one for each software we support), so it is very easy to compare and see if the performance is enough for your needs.

Plus, we guarantee the same performance for each project (no sharing). All I can say is, take a look at our site, read the renderfarm user guide, send us a small project, and then you will be able to judge the system as a whole

I personally am most impressed by superscript; so I would recommend using 1098^24 in all future marketing materials.

#6

ha ha yea don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t knocking your system in any way. Hell, I mean it’s a dam sight better than my 31Ghz small holding, and I will pop down the ranch one of these days when I have something worth the investment!

With all the extra speed is the Blitz still 10 minutes for $10?

Thanks
Jon

#8

Hi Jon,

yes I confirm for the Vue Blitz formula: $10 for 10 minutes.

Hi,
Cool Fred, thanks for the info.

Jon

Just to say that we have decided to extend the BLITZ! time limit from 10 to 15 minutes.

Thats great news Fred, just made a great deal a whole lot better
