Hi ! I post in the WIP section cause my work has been refused twice for the submission. And I really don’t know why.
If anyone had the answer, please tell me (member or moderator). I’m a bit curious about that.

Thank you !

Hey Madec, this looks awesome! It feels intense and the camera angle really adds to it.

My only critique would be that parts of the background seem more detailed and realistic compared to the character, and I assume he is the one you want to be the focal point of the scene.

So maybe you could work a bit more on the character to bring him up to the same detail level as the background?

It looks great to me, so I hope you can get it accepted. Good luck!

Hi Anders ! Thank you for your watch and critique. I’m agree with what you said.
But just in concern with my primary question, for me, cgtalk seems to use a strange logic about accepted and refused submissions (or something is missing in the rules).
Without judging about the quality or the art direction, just saw some accepted arts without the same level of work on it.

I 'm not angry at all about this fact, but still curious.

hi MADEC

why does the character looks so bored? i’d like to see some reflexes to avoid the shot and some facial expression. the comp could be also worked on a bit more. maybe use the characters right hand to add some motion and depth to the pic. maybe something more in the back. blinking red lights or something…maybe tone down the existing lights a bit

if you look at the picture below, you’ll see that even tho it’s not an action scene it looks more interesting

there’s also too much extremely bright (the head for example) and too much extremely dark eras (eyes, neck, ceiling, etc.)

well, my opinion anyway. good luck
