Texture Error

#1

I cannot for the life of me get my texture to render! This is the first time I’ve brought in my own texture after uv’ing in another software such as headus or maya. Why is it so annoying to do this in Houdini?

I have placed a material ndoe after my geometry as one would. I connected a mantra surface shader to the geometry. Viola, it shows up in the vieport. On render, I get a beautiful bright gray nothing!

I also get a Houdini Console error telling me “Multiple image planes for C channel in image”. I get this about 5-6 times trying to test my texture.

Under output in my mantra render node I do have a C and P image plane added, but I’ve never got errors from adding extra image planes before though.

My main concern is why the heck my texture will not render.

Without posting a scene file and your Houdini version / platform it very difficult to come to any conclusion and that’s why you should be posting your question on the sidefx forum and not here because not attachments are allowed here.

I’ve posted here without attachments before, it’s not a big deal. In this case there is no need for an attachment. If you knew how to help you would have already suggested it, being that this is a very basic question. The Houdini version is 11.0.733 and no I would not post my scene file for you, it’s not near warranted for that.

I’ve actually resolved the issue.
