Terminator 4 vision

#1

Hi
I want to recreate the vision of the Terminators in Terminator Salvation.

The bit I need help on is that in some scenes their vision displays white dots across the screen.
Here are some images of what I mean:

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Hi
I have seen that tutorial before and I am almost certain it does not cover the effect I want to create…

Well those are basically tracking points right? Seems like you would track your foorage, then you can place your dot which could be a dot graphic

those look like track points from a 3d tracker, like this:

(look at about 1:21)

you would need a 3d tracking program, like Syntheyes ( http://www.ssontech.com/ ), export the track points to a 2d or 3d program, attach little renderable geometry to each track point. In 3d, it could be little spheres, in 2d, it might have to be little 2d cards.

Imaginary Forces did Machine Vision for Terminator Salvation. Not instructions but might be worth your while:

Please do not cross-post across different forums. Your quest for knowledge is certainly understandable, but it’s not the most productive way to get help. Please see my answer on VideoCopilot.
