temporary switch tool (alla zbrush)

does anyone know if it is possible in photoshop to temporary hold down a key to temporary switch tool (alla zbrush, smudge).

for example,

  • as of now, i have to press “b” to switch to the brush tool, and press “r” to switch back.
  • is it was possible to, temporary hold down the “b” to only temporarily use the brush tool?

that’d be great, strange, doesn’t it exist ? no ?

if you mean like spacebar for move and Alt for eye dropper, then no

only solution for this is Autohotkey. there’s a bunch of awesome scripts for things like this. you can do pretty much anything with photoshop
