techniques on making seams for cloth

#1

Whats your technique on making seams for, for example, pants, or other types of cloth, in zbrush?

I have tried with alpha and paint it on the mesh. I also have tried masking out and deform that area. I can make them work with time and practice, but im just wondering if there are some better techniques, which maybe give me higher controll and are a bit easier?

Damien Standard brush works pretty well for that.

thanks, the seam is fine now. But im a bit confused on how to apply the seam alpha when there are areas which can be difficult to reach. Its not difficult, but i have to rotate the mesh, resulting in a uneven seam, since i have to releaze the mouse button and then start to paint the seam again where i released the button.

Any suggestions on that?

im have a hard time figuring out a fabric seam issue.

I made an alpha resembling a seam which i will use for a pair of pants. And im gonna use it in zbrush. Its ok, but the seam end up ugly looking, like the fine details wont show. And im at the top level of how high my subdivision level can reach. What would you do?

My other problem is that if im gonna paint the alpha all around the pants, its not easy to reach some areas, as i have to rotate the mesh etc.

Anyone?
