i know it needs controllers and other complicated things but can you tell me the simplest way to make it a bit more normal and at least reach the floor

thanks in advance !

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems you only have an IK added to a joint chain it seem.

But, as an answer to your question. Add an IK SC solver running from the ankle to the foot ball. That way - when you translate the IK handle you now have at the ankle the foot will still be planted on the ground. But much more is required for it to be a fully functional foot rigg.

What you really ought to do is look up a tutorial on rigging and absorb it’s knowledge. I’m just a recently graduate so I don’t have any professional experience with rigging but I would recommend Digital Tutor or get your hand on “The Art of Rigging”.

Hi,

You must add a controler on your ik then make a orient constraint between the controller and the foot’s joint !

Just add more ik down that leg really, might want to refer to reference to where the leg and foot should bend. Try a combo of RP and SC ik chains. Hope that helps.
