Stylistically, you are flattening a lot of the values, such as her skin tone barely shows any form at all. This isn’t a problem on its own, but when coupled with a white background, she becomes too flat. I would suggest a darker background to contrast against her skin, or give her more form shadow and not truncate the dynamic range of her skin tone so much.
Her forearm seems too long. Typically, the length of the forearm (measured from inner elbow to wrist) is the same length as the hand.
Some areas are painted too messy and lack definition, to the point of confusing the shape/form/material of the object, such as his right shoulder, his abdomen area, her back, his hand, his bow-tie, etc. It’s one thing to be painterly/expressive, but it’s something else when you are being simply haphazard and don’t portray enough clarity.

Okay, here’s the issue, as I’m seeing it. You have very bold, strong contour lines (edges) on the guy, but the female is soft and undefined. I would push her edges further, because he’s taking the focus because of the strong edges of his form. I would define the volumes of the woman more with the same strong edges - the fuzzy brushes should only be used for blending inside the forms from this point. You have a pretty stylistic approach, so the forms don’t have to be photographic or “accurate”, and you can play with the forms to be more visually interesting than “accurate”.
As an art teacher once told us, every square inch should be visually interesting.
You have a great ying/yang with the black/white of the two figures as well, i would push that and use the lighter tones/edge lighting/highlights to draw the contour of her, to offset the black lines of the guy. Balanced right, this could be a very strong piece.
Hate to say it, but the hat is a cop out. Have some fun with it!
