Surface sheet replacements for older Wacom tablets?

#1

I’ve got an older model tablet that Wacom doesn’t seem to sell the surface sheets for anymore. Nothing wrong with it other than a small nick in the middle of the drawing surface. And I don’t have the money to shell out for a new tablet, when the only problem involves what should be a cheap piece of plastic.

Anyone know if the newer sheets are backwards compatible? (A comparable size chart vs. old models?) Or if there are any aftermarket suppliers for replacements? (It looks like it’s made of thin translucent hi-grade HDPE plastic with a strip of some adhesive on it, not like there’s any serious backwards engineering involved or anything.)

I don’t know if the newer tablets are the same sizes or not, but you could buy some frosted plastic sheet from a plastic supplier and cut out a piece yourself. A metal ruler and a hobby knife should do it.
