Sunglasses Modeling

Hi All!

I’m new to the forum, but a longtime fan of the advice and help on here.

I have a couple modeling questions. I’m a heavy C4D user and have also used some Zbrush in the past to model/alter existing free objs. I need to model these sunglasses frames, for a simple straight-on render.

I’m a super beginner in c4d when it comes to actual modeling. I’ve already made an attempt in c4d but it’s pretty wack. I essentially just extruded these spline traces I made in AI and used sweeps for the middle part. Is this something I should learn Rhino for?

Any tips or tricks? I may end up hiring an industrial modeller, but I’m not getting paid for this project so I’d rather not.

I’d use polygons and subdivision modifier, build a low poly cage and off you go. It’s basic hard surface modeling, shouldnt be difficult.
