Subsurface skin with shellac glaze

#1

I’m trying to create a subsurface skin material with a shellac-like glaze. Something like this:

Have a look at my test renders.

I’ve been using the misss_fast_skin_maya shader with a bump map (figure A) and I’ve been trying to find a way to layer a high polished gloss on top of it (B). I have tried using the Mila material, starting with a subsurface base © and layering glossy reflection on top (D), but I haven’t been able to get the glossy bumps on the mila subsurface material to look as good as the misss_fast_skin shader. Also, I can’t seem to find a way to get those round specular highlights (E and F) on the glossy layer of the mila.

I’m working in Maya 2015 and rendering in mental ray.
