Strange UV Tiling Issue Maya

Good afternoon, everyone!
I’m running into this issue with a character that I’m working on where the UV tiles don’t seem to be working properly. I’m using Maya 2016 and rendering with Renderman, but this issue pops up if I just use a simple lambert in maya software rendering as well.

I have four tiles extracted from Mudbox which line up properly in the UV editor and seem to work right in the Viewport:

But when I try to actually render it, only the head lines up and I can’t figure out why.

Digging around on the web resulted in finding an old Digital Tutors forum post where they mentioned changing the file path text to include MAPID but Maya refuses to accept this and just changes it back to the default. Any ideas?
