Strange target when brush selected (no capslock tough!)

I don’t know what buttons I’ve pressed, but when I select the brush or the eraser tool this strange target with the number one next to it appears.

It’s possible to hide it when pressing ctrl+H, but I’d like to know how to get rid of it completely.

Does any of you guys know what it is? o.o
