Yeah, this is my first very, very rough sketch for my first CG-Challenge.

When i read about the topic i thought first about a horse/donkey, sitting on a carriage which is pulled by men. But then, i got the Idea of a Witch, served by a bishop/cardinal/priest instead of getting burned at the hill of stakes. if that isn’t a Strange Behavior?

I hope i don’t violate some challenge-rules or religious feelings.

Note: Please excuse my lack of English language knowledge. :wink:

So, in the next steps i will develope the setting (I thought about a cathedral, altar) and draw a decent lineart (with perspective - lol). But I won’t rush it this time.

I hope i will get better until October.

I really like you idea and first sketch. Maybe you could put some sort of painting in the background showing the king being burned by peasants, just to push you concept even further? Just a thought.

Hello and thanks for the welcome.

The Idea of a backgroundpainting is great - i always have problems with backgrounds. But to refine the Idea a bit… i think of a stained glass Window or three (trinity) - showing some kind of scene. Jep, that would be neat… creativity is hitting me hard

Ha, yeah! Sorry - due to other work i hadn’t any time nor passion to work on the pic recently. To be honest - i suck at drawing on the tablet. I’m going to post the lineart on monday or tuesday. I am still in time…

It looks not as good as it shoud, but it’s enough for me. I already started to work it out in greyscale.

I think you need to make it more apparent that she is a witch to pull off that idea

Yeah, sure! - Witch accessories are on the Way - there will be the red hair, witch-hat, cat, stockings, broom etc. This is just a rough value block-in… because i am bad at drawing.
