Great a new CGtalk Contest… I´m in :wink: I`ll transfer my currently WIP into this contest because it perfectly suites the idea behind “strange behavior”, well a least in my way of thinking^^

So here is the first idea for it… global warming and how mankind reacts by this means on the “strange behavior” of the world climate.

Here is the second idea as concept sketch I`m currently working out… where will you plan holidays in 2060? Strange Behavior of mankind when Global Warming takes place in the near future :wink:

some little updates… on the composition, added more vehicles and water sport stuff, replaced the swiming hotel dummy and so on…

things which I still want to go for this concept sketch… stronger lighting (any ideas how to achieve that?), more water sport vehicles (not sure about overdoing this) and a buoy with a sign on the top “Sunken Gizeh Pyramides - Diving Zone”

Some minor updates on comp. and I replaced the ship in right front part with a catamaran boat typ. Oh the buoy is no in… I´m still not satisfied with the overall lightning but I`m getting closer… maybe one more update and I´ll call this concept idea done… what do you think?

hi theuni! like what you have going on here. Looks a little bit like dubai but the pyramids make you stop and think. Plus with all the opportunities to create futuristic fun machines and light/water effex this is a cool idea. I’ll be watching it develop…

Some minor tweaks here and there to improve the overall lightning impression. Oh and again some additional sport vehicles. This place starts to get crowded… well then, it could be the last place on earth in 2060 for summer holidays

I knew there was something missing… I thought about droping in some kind of futuristic hovering vehicle polluting the air while heading for the holiday resort. But for know the caravan will do the job.

Really like the idea - I prefer the more desolate sandy caravaning shot, but the pyramid concept was fun too. Since you have wind turbines how about some tumbleweed? Maybe a destroyed metal petrol station or road sign hanging limply by the side of the road. I can almost hear the lone squeaking hinge amongst the silence!

And finally here is concept idea 3 of 3 for this challenge. Most likely I`ll go for this idea for some reasons but let me know what you think is the best idea for me to go for…

Well, for this sketch the story reads as follows: Global Warming has taken place just as Holywood has foreseen it :wink: the whole planet has frozen to a big snowball. Only some few places, known as hot spots and maybe some sunken pyramides, remaind on earth for living and working. The place you see on the sketch is some sort of industrial place where mankind still tries to exploit nature but this time in some “strange manner”. The strange behaviour for this one could be seen in mining a vulcano or even in the guy you can see in front of the image… selling earplugs to the workers arriving from their shift.
